Engineers
The Telehealth Project is being developed in partnership with Cranfield University and supported by The Royal Academy of Engineering and Central YMCA. The project will lead to the creation of two short (around 45 minutes), large intergenerational cast plays exploring the likely impact of advances in teleheath increasing our audiences awareness of the impact of engineering in society and on our lives. The final plays will be published online for schools, youth theatres and amateur groups to perform.
The process of creating the two plays by playwrights Judith Johnson and Ben Musgrave relies upon the in-put of various experts from an Advisory Group including Dr Oluseun Adeogun, Windo Hutabarat, James Angus, Professor Richard Aspinall, Nick Gough, Jeevan Sagoo, and Professor Martyn Thomas.
On June 8th 2011, the Advisory Group, along with young people from Sedgehill School and Capital City Academy, a group of seniors and the two playwrights, participated in an interactive workshop exploring the issues raised by the introduction of telehealth and telecare and the intergenerational attitudes towards digital technology.
Several Advisory Group members gave presentations, expressing their point of view.
