Is it OK to use animals for basic research that is not trying to find a cure for a specific disease?
Penny argues that all animal experiments have the potential to cause pain and suffering to the animal involved. She believes this has to be balanced against the potential benefit to medicine and even then leaves an ethical dilemma about animal well being.
